i'm italian, arrived at woodlands checkpoint over from malaysia on way to singapore, was refused entry by official to singapore, cause no onward ticket, i initially asked for stay more than the standard 2 week, when he asked why, he asked if i had a onward, to which i did not.
i was refused entry by him and sent back to malaysia.
What is consequence of this, am i barred now forever from entering singapore???
From your explanation here, you have not committed any crime. All you wanted was a stay that's longer than the permitted 2 weeks, which has been rejected by the immigration. I think the onward ticket is just a requirement by the immigration for approving an application to stay longer than the standard 2 weeks. I don't think you'll be barred from entering Singapore forever, as long as they did not stamp your passport with a message saying that you have been barred from entering Singapore forever.
If you really needed to be so long in Singapore, you could always go there on a standard 2-week social pass. Then before the 2 weeks is up, cross back to Malaysia, and then return to Singapore on another 14-day social visit pass. You might want to consider staying for a day or two in Malaysia before returning to Singapore to avoid suspicion from the Singapore immigration.
Providing nothing has been stamped into your passport you should be okay. I was refused entry to Brunei in 2003 for not having got a visa in advance. I went back in 2004 (when I no longer needed a visa) and got in without any problems.
Don't know if this would work, but you could possibly try to buy a very cheap ticket for 4/5 weeks in the future on Air Asia or some other budget airline - we could be talking less than 15/20 euro - from Johor Bahru to some random destination; then present this as your 'onward ticket'. That could possibly fool them.
think you should just try again to get in but this time forget abt asking for more than 2 weeks at the custom.
Once you are in, you can try getting an extension at the Singapore immigration point or seek your own embassy for help and providing your reason is valid, you should not have any problem (finding work is not a valid reason haha).
Besides, prob that officer was having a bad day and so are you..
There should be a reason why you are barred from entering to Singapore.
Perhaps you can give a call to Embassy of Italy in Singapore (Ambasciata d'Italia)
