As a real dutchman, I of course have to go with my team!! (And I'm glad to see support from abroad as well!)

Yes, it will be hard to survive the first round, but we've beaten Argentina before! The Serbs are always tough, and Ivory Coast was in the final of the African Nations Cup...

Of course I would love to see a final between Germany and Holland (which is possible), and then obviously with a Dutch victory. To get rid of that haunting '78 lost final against west-germany...

I'm pretty sure that was '74.... and definitely one of those games that goes into the history books as 'the Dutch being far superior but still losing' and 'the Germans managing to pull it off somehow'.... both those quotes probably also ring a bell with the English '78 was when 'we' lost to Argentina in the finals. Enough second places now; first this year!!!

Im being very positive and supporting my country--->> HOLLAND!!!!! and Im sure they will get to the finals :O)))

If holland gets kicked out im supporting Australia,Togo or Ghana (it would be kind of amazing if one of them won the world cup!)

Just bringing up a long quiet thread to say the following...

If France wins against Italy, and the Italians don't score too much, and the Germans don't win the 3rd place game, then it looks like I will win my world cup pool. Yay me! Not bad for someone who doesn't know much about the teams.

I was walking around Kyoto, Japan yesterday by the university. Right, side by side, are the Franco-Japanese studies building, and the Italian-Japanese studies building. I was surprised that there were not barricades between the two, and molatov cocktails being thrown back and forth.

that game was horrible and amazing..

i dont know.. it was a mess. both teams played amazing at times, sucked to shit other times. and i'm really pissed about zidane headbutting the italian guy.. that was just out of line.. and he has to know he prettymuch screwed himself and the french team over, becuase hes quite the skilled penatly kicker, and so close to the end he had to know it was coming down to kicks.

what a mess.
i dont know, i was rooting for france but that end part killed it for me.

thats all
later!
Love

But there's the dark side and then there's France.
