Surabaya Tourism
Web site maintained by "Dinas Pariwisata" Surabaya --> SUrabaya Tourism Body.
You mean inside the town?
- "Museum Kapal Selam" --> Submarine Museum. To see how our TNI-AL "water-craft" winning a battle ![]()
- "Tunjungan Plaza" shopping mall
- "Kya - Kya Kempang Jepun", eating place, open only at night. It is the business road converted to food stall at night only. Ambience of oriental (chinese) is very strong.
- "Cheng Hoo Mosque". You may already know the well known General Cheng Hoo. Read NGC if you don't ![]()
- "Kenjeran beach"
- "Sunan Ampel Mosque", in Arab square
Out Surabaya:
- Malang city --> Bromo and surrounding, Waterfalls, Flower Club
- Madura Island --> for infamous "Kerapan Sapi" the cow's race
- Banyuwangi city --> A place where "Reog" and "Carok" born
- Mojokerto city --> for Kingdom of Majapahit temples and ruins. A place called "Trowulan" is a must to visit
And .. road transfer is very good. But I would advise to take a train to go to Central Java/Yogyakarta, if you prefer to take land trasnportation. As nowadays airline cost is considerably lower, you may also consider taking a flight to Yogyakarta. It saves you time, but a little increase only on budget.
Be hurry to Yogyakarta .. see Mt. Merapi eruption
