Hello, i have read a lot of this post and their seems to be a lot of success stories with people in exactly the same situation as me, but quite a lot never post back :(.

so heres my story i live in the uk and 8 years ago when i were 17 i got caught in possession of a class a drug (i am really ashamed of it) its the only time i have ever been arrested. I have booked a flight for me and my girlfriend to vegas in july and decided to chance it rather than go to London and do the interview and drugs test, so our estas got approved i didn't disclose the arrest. the only difference with my story seems to be 3 years ago we went to Australia and Tokyo, when we arrived at Tokyo the customs officer took my fingerprints then started acting weird and looking as if he were trying to get help, so i panicked and said can i go through and he said yes. i have convinced myself japan knew something but why would he let me go?

so my question is, am i right to risk is?
has anybody on this forum ever been refused entry?
and what would my options be if i got refused?
what would my girlfriend do?
could i pay for flights from vegas to somewhere else or do they have to return me to the UK?

please only comment if you have experience in this area, i know i am not in the right but any help would be great.

sorry i forgot to mention i got a police caution for the offence, no court appearance or anything like that.

You were under 18 so you would get a Visa if you had done it properly - however because you lied you committed a federal crime. Are you likely to get found out though? The answer is no.

No, Tokyo wouldn't get your record from your fingerprints.

Cheers

Can anyone who has had an arrest or conviction and has then applied for a tourist visa, possibly please advise me,

after you tick yes online to 'have you ever been arrested, charged, convicted' do they ask you to fill out police disclosure forms as well?

Or are the court documents enough?

Your question is meaningless when you give zero clue of your nationality, or which tourist visa you're applying for.

It's not up to experienced contributors here to do any guesswork whatsoever regarding your status, that makes accurate replies impossible. You didn't even bother to fill out your profile.

All Visa/Immigration questions need ALL the facts clearly laid out.

When did I say I was after advise from an 'Experienced contributor'? I was not asking 'experienced contributors' for advise, I was after experiences from actual people who have gone through the process, how much time someone spends answering questions on forums is irrelevant to me, if I want legal advise I'd ask a lawyer. I have noticed you seem to 'police' peoples questions. There is no need to be rude to people. This is an unofficial internet forum it's not an actual law/immigration office.

I thought it was ok to ask a simple question from people who may have done it themselves, without getting 'told off' for unintentionally not providing enough detail. I am busy and also didn't realize I had to fill out a profile to get advise from a non official site. This board has people who say to lie to get entry to another country, or advise to just not declare expunged records which is also a lie, so don't judge people just wanting to know about how it goes to do things the honest way. I will go elsewhere though with my query, the world is already full enough rude people in positions in authority or power, without having to deal with people who behave that way on mere internet sites when you try ask a question.

Ramon, grow up.

Read my first sentence again. If you can't understand that then you're beyond help.

Cheers,
Terry

You're missing the point.

If you had least mentioned nationality in your profile then it would have helped in being able to guess which information is applicable to you.

You grow up.

Just because I disagree with you that makes me immature? What gives you a right to be rude to people on this forum? You gave been rude to multiple people on this thread. You would think having to potentially deal with potentially rude consulars etc that is the last thing people want?

You also have no right to be giving out legal advise to people when your not a lawyer etc. I read some of the advise you gave people and it's actual wrong from a legal point of view some of the stuff you have advised people.

I am asking for general experiences of people NOT facts. So my nationality is irrelevant. Because I am NOT assuming their answers would apply to myself.

If I wanted actual legal facts I would ask an immigration lawyer not some guy online who thinks he is one. Got it?

In fact I will not use this forum again as I assumed it's okay to chat about experiences here without people getting all anal, but it seems to have been taken over by some wanna be 'thinks he is a lawyer' on a power trip. Last thing people need.
