Hi , i was going threw this for hours, there were great opinions, but I wanted ask and if i could get your opinion on my situation.

I have 3 DUI convictions, latest one were last year Apr. I have received my sentence last month doing community work of 150hrs which i am finishing this weekend (was in Korea, for couple months) I have nothing else on my criminal record. (All DUI sentenced, one in 2002 : fines , 2005 community work and last year )

I have already done the ESTA 2weeks ago and received a authorization.
Iam travelling next month to usa to visit my fiance for a month and staying at her place.

I am a Korean born currently living in NZ for last 23 years with NZ citizenship (currently 31)

Your opinion would be so much appreciated.

Thank u

Hi everyone.

First post on here and didn't want to start a new thread, but thought this was the best place to ask.

I've just booked flights to USA. The travel agent I used recommended they apply for my ESTA for a fee of £35. I was under the impression I could fill out a form at the airport. Can I do this or do I have to apply for the ESTA online or via the travel agent ?

Excuse my naivety on the subject but I'm 46 and have only ever been to Europe by boat and I've not left the UK since 1985 as I have really bad fear of flying.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can apply for the ESTA yourself on the Customs & Border Protection website.

It looks like there are 2 small fees attached to this - a US$4 processing fee (payable by everyone), and a US$10 fee (payable by those who are authorized). So presuming your ESTA application is successful, doing it yourself would cost a total of US$14 (or approx. £10) - decide for yourself if you want to spend $14 or the £35 to the travel agent for the same thing. I know which way I would go!

Thank for the prompt reply. I've just done it online via the link you provided.

Just need to pluck up the courage and get on the plane now.

I was arrested in Jan 2010 but the whole thing was NFA'd, no caution, no reprimand, no court, nothing, do I still need to apply for a visa to visit USA?

Cheers

Whiggler, your situation has been addressed dozens and dozens of times throughout this thread.

Cheers Terry

I read a fair few pages but couldn't find any reference to NFA'd cases, most replies seemed to refer to actual convictions including reprimands and cautions.

Kind regards

If you would state your nationality and not use acronyms it would be easier to address your situation.

Cheers,
