Once you're allowed entry into the US then you are free to fly, bus, train, walk, etc. anywhere you wish in the entire country with no hassle whatsoever.

There is no further travel documention required to travel between the different individual states.

Terry

Hi guys, I wish to travel to visit my niece in the States form the Uk this year or next. I have a conviction for fraud from 2012. No custodial sentence but community pay back order which is completed.

Do you think it is likely that I will be able to trace there with my children.

Thank you

"... Do you think it is likely that I will be able to trace there with my children..."

I have no idea what that means but from what I can decipher from your post your question has been answered here over and over and over...

Here's the deal: Since the UK doesn't generally share their common criminal database with the US your chances of running into trouble are slim, but of course nothing is 100% guaranteed. Be very presentable at US Immigration and chances are you'll slide right through.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

Thank you - I meant to say travel with my children.

Personally, with other people are involved - especially children - I'd be inclined to apply for a Waiver of Inadmissibility just to be sure of no issues.

No guarantee they'll give you one though...

Good luck.

Cheers,
Terry

Hi Terry,
You seem to have a lot of great advice. I am a New Zealander. Do you know if the same advice applies to Australia and New Zealand? Can the US customs access NZ/Aussie criminal DB's?
Thanks! :)

Hi Terry
You seem like the man to talk to to! I along with the last poster want to know if you have any info in regards to an australian travelling to the us and on data based etc?
I was convicted of abh when I was 18 almost 10 years ago now. Since then I have been arrested for public nuisance twice and obstruct police once. The most recent was public nuisance two years ago and I was convicted as it was a three strikes kind of thing.
I'm strongly considering ticking no on the esta form as I don't have time to go through the waiver of ineligibility system. I have approved for a police certificate just to see if the assault is still on my file. If it's not and it's only the public nuisance could I admit to that if asked at customs and still be ok? Or just deny anything. What do you think mate? Thanks for your time

Sorry ment applied for a police certificate*

The US can't access the general criminal databases for NZ/Aussie. The only database they have direct access to is Canada.

Cheers,
Terry
