A couple of trips overseas as a kid gave me the travel bug.

Not travelling is like eating the same meal for dinner night after night for ever. Some people are happy with that. Personally I think they should swap their pork chop and vegetables and try some crispy fried spider on-a-stick

what made me travel...

4 years of dealing with idiots on the phone
saved up cash and no desire to deposit money for a house
being single at the time
a love of different cultures

I originally wanted to travel to see the world, have an adventure, meet new people, and have new experiences.

Right now I am desperate to travel to ESCAPE!

I originally wanted to travel to see the world, have an adventure, meet new people, and have new experiences.

Right now I am desperate to travel to ESCAPE!

Yeah I know that feeling.....

Any ideas how I can escape my life again? I just can't stop thinking about going away. I've just had 3 months off work, they're hardly going to give me another 3 months off work.

To finally be the one to tell the stories rather than listen in envy and awe to the one i hear. To be the one to take the photos and say i saw that! Only a few months and of i go, never been further than Spain so i am sure it will be amazing (i hope).

I applied for an exchange program at University of Auckland, just for fun. I got it and went, but didn't really think of it as travelling (and the moment I just wanted to get away from everything). However, the travel bug totally got me, and now I'm stuck! I want to see every country of the world!

For me, it is a lot of things that makes travelling so special. Meeting people, of course. Learning more about our world. But also the feeling of inconvenience, of constant movement, dirty roads and bumby busses... I love it!!!

Hmm.. to see something new, something different than where i am from. To experience different cultures, meet new ppl. To have a sense of freedom for a little awhile at least. Backpacking is so awesome.. no real agenda, the world is ur oyster, travel to desinations unknown... *dreams* wish i was leaving today!

For me so far the main reason's been getting away from home, even if it's just for a while. And there's one major factor that decides my destination - if there's a gig or two in the area by one of my many favourite bands. And all the typical "seeing other cultures, ..." too. ;)

Started young. Got addicted. Couldn't find a support group to help me give up, so now a terminal traveller.

Why, originally? Adventure I suppose, but then again I was 12. Now, I have no idea, but if i don't move anywhere for over a week or so, I start almost freaking out. I've just got to keep traveling.
