I'm considering a month or so in Asia this summer (June/July). I was wondering about the most economical way to fly to and around Asia. I'm considsering China, Japan, Thailand, Viet, and India. Does anyone know of a package flight or a good travel agent that you would recommend?

Thanks.

Cathay Pacific sometimes has some of these multi-country plane tickets, check their web page. Other Asian carriers may have similar programs. Check their webpages.

Thailand usually has some good prices for flights from their travel agencies, always compare prices offered by one travel agency to another for best price.

In Thailand there is ground transportation from Thailand to Cambodia and Laos if you are interested. Lonely Planet TG may have some more suggestions.

You are biting off a lot to chew in a couple of months. Perhaps you could do Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand first, since they are the closest and cheapest. Korea and Japan are the most expensive places for hotels and transportation.

Since you are looking economical ways to travel consolidating your trip to a smaller area might pay off.

I just found out that Expedia allows you to book tickets that do not originate from the US (all the other online discount sites require your travels to orginate from the US). They allow multi-city booking. If you are visiting Thailand might want to check out Thai Air's Discover Thailand 2006 Fares or ASEAN Fares.

PS, Yes I know this post is US centric and assumes you are flying from the US, if not my apologies.
