Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone would like to go to Athens with me this August. None of my friends wanted to go and I wasn't gonna to go because of that and the price but I decided I can't wait forever for the perfect time b/c there may never be a perfect time.
It wouldn't be for the entire Olympics time but maybe just a few days. I think it would be phenomenal to not only see the sites but also feel the camraderie of being with tons of people from around the world. To tell the truth, I more interested in the international conversations with others than the actual international games themselves. But with the games, I believe there will be a plethora of people that you probably wouldn't normally see, even during the height of tourism.
I am a 23-year-old female and have very little money so if you don't mind staying in a small B&B or real cheap hotel that may have no doormen or elevators and that's not necessarily in Athens but possibly on a nearby island, I would love to hear from you. (The only reason I’m not crazy for hostels is b/c there’s no place to lock up your stuff safely (or at least, so I hear. I don’t know, prove me wrong.))
I prefer that you're around the same age as me (in your 20s, give or take), open to sitting and talking with people all of all types, colors, religions, etc. and also like to go out clubbing at night because I love to dance. I'm young and have no boyfriend, and despite the lack of money, I've always had this intense desire to travel and explore ever since I was 12 and my mom bought my sibs and I a huge atlas that had detailed information and beautiful pictures about every country in the world. What a better time than now!
I don't care if only one other person goes with me or 5. I don't care if you're a guy or a girl but I won't lie, there's gotta be at least one other girl besides me. I don't know why, call it the natural tendency for girls to click or hiss (hopefully, the former occurs on this trip. It should, I’m pretty easy-going.) Who knows? This could lead to lasting friendships and becoming long-term travelmates once every year or two.
I’m looking forward to your responses. Thanks!
