Yeah the heroin injecting room has done wonders for the area
Don't know bout' you James, but I never liked the site of needles being stuck into people. Better out of sight and off the street IMO. Still too many neon signs around the cross for my liking - if you know what I mean
I must admit I haven't been up the Cross in years. I do hear quite mixed things about it these days.
Do Porkys and Striparama still exist? Blimey, I've been ripped off their a few times in my younger years (enter for the strippers and free beer, end up watching pornos and drinking some zero alcohol rubbish.)
I've never ventured into those places for a few years now and you'll be happy to know were not the only one being ripped off
Not sure about the clubs you mentioned, but I was there about 3 weeks ago and there are still a few of those places left. I believe many of them decided on more covert operations, but there are still a few of the Love Machine type places around. But obviously the clean up of the suburb is working as there are less of those places "visibly" around now.
I worked for a client in Woollomolloo a few years back, and went out with a St Vincent College (Potts Point) chick a few years before that, so I got to know the area reasonably well (and the chick ) - but this is ages ago now (unfortunately )
I agree with the Bondi Junction/Bellevue Heights area. Either that or somewhere close to Glebe/Newtown area. Both are easily accessible from the city, although Bondi is obviously closer to the beach, but further from the city.
thank you numero1
I am very happy about it.
All places mentioned so far in thread are good places to stay in Sydney.
I'll also add Kiribilli and Mosman to the list. Both are suburbs located on the picturesque lower north shore of Sydney and are a good 10-15 minute ferry trip into Circular Quay.
