Guys, there's one thing I forgot to write on my survey: member online indicator. :)

I normally use Firefox & it looks good here. Haven't played around much nor tried it with other browsers.

Yes, I almost thought that I had logged into the wrong site yesterday night and then I realized it is true - TP has a new look now...congrats and thanks!

The pictures are still not lined up though.

Ok, that one was was actually a bug. Something I had fixed for the general photo gallery, but not for users own galleries. I've applied the fix there now also. Thanks for pointing it out :)

  • When viewing threads in the forum, I find it somewhat crowded. Perhaps alternating the background colour for every other thread would make it clearer, or a faint line between each thread to delinate between threads
  • Within a thread, I think a stronger line between posts would make it clearer where one post ends and another starts
  • In posts, the name and title of the poster is centered vertically in the post. For very long posts, this means that sometimes the name and title of the poster is not on the screen when you start reading. I think top justifying the name would be better.
  • The bullets here don't show up very distinctly - the light blue on white almost fades to nothing on my LCD screen
  • The forums seem to load slower than before.

Greg, out of the 5 points I quoted above, can I safely assume that points 1 and 3 are 'fixed' with the stylesheet reloading?

Regarding points 2 and 4, I'm going to say I have to agree with you.

I think the second point was also what 'Guinnes' was referring to. It doesn't need much but maybe a slight extra distinction. I am getting used to it the way it is now though :)

The bullets I can't seem to get used to though. I find myself straining to see the bullets and where one ends and the next starts, and although they look really cool, this isn't very pleasant (Peter's gonna kill me for not mentioning any of this earlier :) ).

On the last point Greg, are you finding the forums to still be loading slower???

I found another bug.

If there are nested quotes, the alignment of the post will go haywire. Happens only in IE, not FF. Somehow, the first couple of letters on left margin of the post got 'sucked' into where the member name and title are.

Sam - yes, points 1 and 3 are fixed, along with the pictures lining up (thanks Peter).

As for loading slower than before, it feels slightly slower, but I didn't time it before, so can't say for sure. It's not bad though - certainly an acceptable load time.

re: bullets. I've changed it to a light blue color (it was actually white before). It shows up a lot clearer now - let me know if you guys think it is clear enough.

I'm working on the other things including the bug you have pointed out Hien.

Ok, fix has been made. Please make sure you refresh, because until you do the forum thread pages will look kind of white!

I've added a top border to each entry. It's a subtle distinction, but I think enough to help clarify things slightly.

I fixed up some lose height issues on the row that shows the date + edit/quote options.

I fixed the bug Hien mentioned; typical IE not complying with the standards

A very strange thing has just happened in the past few minutes or so...

The posting time stamp and spam/edit/rate it links have just moved across the screen... Instead of being on the upper right-hand side of a posted response, they are now on the left-hand side - above but aligned with the response text. Is that also part of the new look? Just curious...

Oh, this is happening with Safari but not with Firefox. Just thought you would might like to know. (I know - buy a PC! Never!)

psst.. try refreshing.

It was in transition, that's all. You managed to view it in the space of a minute or two when that was the case ;)
