A very strange thing has just happened in the past few minutes or so...

What did you break this time!?

You missed something in the title area. After the 'Nurturing Travel Addictions' it should say something like 'Home of the Eternally Bored' or so...

Just a thought...

Mmmhhh... Edit function...

What happens if I edit it again?

Doesn't do anything exciting, not even update the time... Or maybe it does... :(

It does update the time and keeps jumping to the first post on the thread...

As for loading slower than before, it feels slightly slower, but I didn't time it before, so can't say for sure. It's not bad though - certainly an acceptable load time.

I found the entire site to load extremely slow for the first day or so after the reboot, but now it's as swift as ever. I suspect the coldfusion application level caching took some time to adjust to the new load patterns, and needed to flush all the old components to make room for the new setup. (Plus of course, all the css and javascript and images had to go into my browser's cache.)

psst.. try refreshing.

It was in transition, that's all. You managed to view it in the space of a minute or two when that was the case ;)

Sorry - tried refreshing, changing pages, quitting and restarting Safari - all before posting my comments. Nothing changed with any of those actions - still left justified. It's not a problem (per se) and definitely not objectionable visually. Guess it's just another ghost in my machine... (And, it's still left-justified...)

Funny boy!!!! I'm thinking my broomstick across those cheeks - and not the ones with your teeth between them. I didn't break anything!!! I'm blaming you and sabotaging my Mac because you are jealous. So there. Take that. Thwack.

Hi isa,

Can you try clicking on Safari and then 'Empty Cache' from the drop down ? I'm looking at it now in Safari and it looks okay.

If it doesn't fix it, are you running version 2.0.3?

Cheers,

Sam

On a related note Isa, how does the 'all threads' layout look for you in Safari? Something seems to be amiss for my safari there...

I cleared my history and emptied the cache - that fixed it! (Duh - should have thought of the cache since Greg was just talking about it earlier...)

Yes, I'm running Safari 2.0.3. Just did the OS upgrade Monday and am using version 10.4.6.

The all threads page is a bit wonky... Thought it was just me though. Everything is "super-sized". The layout is fine and the everything else on the page is normal, but the list of threads and related info looks to be 24 pt or larger type. All other pages are fine and in the correct type size.

What are you seeing????

Exactly that and terribly slow to load (only in safari).... think it has something to do with the slowness that the styles aren't loading properly there Peter! Any ideas? I did get it working exactly once, but out of 20 tries that's not that great

We may have been accessing the All Threads page at the same time - as I had it looking good once also. The next time (and every time there after) - super-sized.

Now that I have emptied my cache and cleared the history, pages are loading much faster. But, I do notice the slowdown with the All Threads page. (But, considering the time it used to take to load any page - I'm not complaining!) And, it's not my fault!!!!!

Hmm interesting, I actually noticed the same thing. I was hoping it was just something weird going on on my side

I'll have a look at it - I can't see it having anything to do with any 'slowness' though. More likely something is slightly invalid in the source code on that page.
