Do other fellow travellers even bother taking sleeping bags to Europe, considering a large percentage of hostels don't allow them?Do you just stick with the travel sheets?

I'm debating whether or not I should bother this time. 3-4 months, all parts of Europe.

Hi there,

I wouldn't bother with a sleeping bag. As you not tend to camp outside, and additionally not many hostels do allow sleeping bags. I have been to eastern Europe and never used my sleeping bag. But maybe take an inlet or a blanket (I bought an airline blanket on a flea market, thin but very warm) you'll never know where you will end up, and in trains and busses it's just great!

cheers,
kat

Thanks heaps.

That's pretty much my thoughts too, sleeping bags take up a fair bit of room to only be used sparingly
