What about a holiday maker visa? Wouldn't this allow up to 2 years in Scotland? 1/2 of it working and the other 1/2 not?

hhmm the holiday maker visa sounds interesting, I was wanting to stay for about 6 or more months. Do you know anything about it? I was in Scotland on tour with MacBackpackers. I did run out of money and was living on 2 bananas a day and cleaning the hostel inexchange for my room. I did manage to get drunk every night and at some point was chased down by a security guard, as i remember i hid in a bush and wasn't caught lol

and I had to hitch hike home from Amsterdam to Utrecht. Next time I'll manage my money better;)

i feel ur fustration - it took me 8 years to get outta the US.
the best option is to study at a university. Is that an option for you?

no, i have no interest in going to school. i just wanted to work in hostels and pubs around scotland, jump around a bit
