Just wondering if any of you Canadians/Americans that live there permantly (unlike myself) are familiar with Australian Rules football and what you think of it. If youve ever been to Oz then you can't miss it really

I thought this was going to be a question about the Arena Football League that plays in North America - which is indoor American style football. I saw a game back when Toronto had a team - very high scoring, and they invited all the fans to the bar afterwards to join the players and the cheerleaders for drinks.

As for Aussie Rules - it was big back when "Jacko" was big during the Australian craze back in the 80s / 90s, but I don't hear much about it now. There are bars around me in Toronto that do show it, along with rugby, football and other international sports to draw the expat crowds.

When I was in oz last year, I started to get into it. It's an easy game to learn the basic rules and it's really fun to watch. I managed to go to a couple games and it was great, the atmosphere at the Telstra Dome was awesome. Nothing beats a pie and a beer while watching the Saints win :D (shame they couldn't go all the way)
