Do you mean our summer or their summer?

New Zealand can get pretty cold in winter, especially the South Island. Also it rains loads there. Basically, think what you'd need for winter in Ireland!

Although in Australia, if you're going to the tropical parts like Cairns and Darwin you'll want shorts etc cos its warm all the time.

-snip-.

Good luck!

PS Also, never take more than you can easily carry. That's a huge mistake people always make.

I have just left New Zealand and its just getting into their winter months. If you plan to go to the South Island take clothing for snow, and cold conditions. If you are going to the North Island take a rain coat and warm clothes, and a sleeping bag possibly. Now is a good time for working, it is fruit picking time.
