RLD is badass, you go thru tight little alleys, mostly really hot girls in the windows, just really neat to see how it is after hearing only stories about it all your life

there is cool little bars and restaurants all around the area also that are fun to hitup

have fun man!

The Red Light District is a great place to go to see where the dreams of desperate women from Eastern Europe end in a cesspit of prostitution, drug abuse and general depravity.

It's depressing. Go elsewhere.

thats kinda like going to the Pyramids in Egypt and disliking that since you can sit back thinking of all the slaves spent their entire lives slaving around, and laboring making the huge wonders of the worlds.

I can (and have) marvelled at the pyramids, but at the same time despaired at the lives of the poor buggers who made it. There's nothing that can be done to change the lives of those people.

However, I'm not going to go to Amsterdam and marvel at the drug ridden souls selling their bodies in shop windows, nor am I going to go to sex shows and marvel at the amazing "tricks" that they can perform with their bodies.

It's nothing but profit and greed driven human misery and degredation marketed as a tourist attraction.

Anyway, that's my opinion and I've got nothing else to add.

james i agree, all those girls are someone`s ister or daughter, they are real people who unfortunately have nothing to exchange for money other than their bodies, it`s good to hear a man say that this is not his idea of paradise

They are real people treated like rubbish by other people who should know better.

Nice to hear that one of the most famous locations in Amsterdam is loved by James and Lou.c
