If I have to fly out of an airport very early and I'm flying into the same airport, I usually check on arrival whether there is a halfway comfortable way to spend the night in the airport, like sleeping on a bench or so...

A famous holiday spot with a beach nearby is Rimini.

For other info on Italy, do a search of this forum. It is a very frequent topic here. Florence might be a good second destination for you.

Jesolo, Caorle, Bibione are the closest beaches to venice.
Rimini and Riccione are about 4 hours far from venice, and they're very famous for nightlife, especially during summer (many discos..). Usually attended by teenagers. Excluding the nightlife, the sea is not the best and the cities are not really interesting to visit.
if you have 5 days you can visit florence, (4 hours from venice, by train) pisa (1 hour from florence, by train)and stay 2 days in Tirrenian coast, where the sea is better: from pisa you can go down to Castiglioncello (40 min from pisa, by train) or southern, where there are many campings, sand beaches, pine woods and dunes along the coast; or you can proceed north to reach Versilia (viareggio, forte dei marmi)(40 min from pisa, by train):here the beaches are less wild but plenty of services, the nightlife is good.

I don't quite know what you're asking suggestions for, but if you are going during high season which is everything except winter, you will probably end up paying almost $150 US on your beds for 2 nights.

I'm goin to Venice this summer too and I been looking at hostels and they are more expensive than a lot of other cities, plus they all raise their prices in the summer. Let's keep this post alive and hopefully someone out there can recommend us a good cheap place to sleep that doesnt cost 25 euros a night per person, but for only a couple nights its not so bad...

and ya... sleeping in airports is good fun. I'ts a good idea to use your bag as a pillow so if someone grabs it you will wake up lol.
