Hey,

My friends and I are looking to travel around the Greece islands from around the 25th of July for about a week. I have already been to the major Aegean islands, eg. Santorini and Naxos and Paros and am looking for something differnt. However, we still want to include Mykonos for a bit of partying but are also looking for ancient ruins and secluded beaches. Is the best/ most cost effective way to do it by ourselves or should we travel with a tour? Also does anyone know a good way to get there from either Croatia or Hungary? Without having to spend a packet and be on a ferry/ bus for 20 plus hours! Thanks for any help
cheers meegs

I have been to Greece 4 tiems and each time I spend some time on a sailboat. This is the best way to visit some of your old favorites and checkout some new smaller islands. I would be glad to suggest a trip for you.

Pink Palace on the island of Corfu is great for partying. Also has some really cool ruins and beaches.

I agree... the island is packed and has a great party atmosphere at that time, plus the old venetian city is very picturesque and is really worth visiting. Plus you can sail around the other Ioanian islands with either a hydroplane (www.airsealines.com) or a sailing boat. Zante being the most touristic with some of the best beaches world wide even though after the film Captain Correli's Mandolin Cephallonia has experienced a hype in tourism. So you could very easily exclude Myconos and the rest...

About your way there corfu has a big airport and has many international flights. I think from hungary www.wizzair.com flies directly....

Have a great time...
