Scotland isn't really sexist at all. We let our women decide for themselves what they want to make us for dinner, how long they're going to spend cleaning, looking after the children etc. . .

Then, at the end of a long hard day, it's entirely up to them if they wish to unwind by sewing, knitting, baking, whatever they like.

Well, when the guys all get around in friggin' tartan skirts, it's hard to know who to give my dinner order to

THE MURDER RATE FOR WOMEN IS TERRIBLE. all i know is it is only a stupid person who would want a partner to be less than equal.

I'm from Canada, and I visited Mexico last year, where I worked with some Mexican girls aged 19-24. One of the three was in a serious relationship, the other was single but discussed that she wanted to get married before she was 25, and the third was married. These are very intelligent, career-minded women. Also, being a white woman travelling alone, I received a lot of unwanted attention from women and men, and saw very non-foreign women travelling alone (they were almost always with a man, a child, or a a few friends). Canada, I must say, is not very sexist. There are increasingly more stay-at-home dads, and women rule many high-end business jobs.

Not all australian men are sexist.

But it does exist everywhere and anywhere you go. I find especially in the work place dominated by male staff. Does anyone else think that?

What about feminists?

In reply to "how sexist is your country," I can say that Australia seemed extremely sexist to me during a visit there, especially compared to my home country and especially compared to the part where I live (Baltimore-Washington area, a lot of women in positions of government power or as private entrepreneurs). I would put Britain (where I worked for three years) somewhere between the US and Australia.

Too many Aussie men are macho, we have a few here but on the whole Aussie's win hands down.

A true feminist is as bad as being macho.

Spain is one of the most equal socities in Europe! Half of the government of Spain is made up of women. Divorce, contraception, abortion etc are available very easily to all women. Maybe you should stop listening to the propaganda you've been fed by whoever is in charge of your brain! I do know that the murder rate is above average but this is no major reflection on the equality of women. Your land dealing must have been carried out in a small town by some hick. I find it hilarious that you say this especially seeing as though you live in Gibraltar.haha
