Hi Peter/Sam There is an obvious promo post by a first time user called timetobail in the Travel Companions forum. Not sure how to linnk it but it is called "Looking at doing a 18-35's tour to Europe?"

I just marked it as spam, so either admin or Mim (Mod for Europe and Travel Companions) will deal with it.

As for the linking, I always copy the address in the browser window and stick it into the post (haven't quite found out how to make the snazzy titles).

For example:

http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum_reply.cfm?ThreadID=23627 (that's the address of this thread and post)

Let's wait for Hien to come in and explain how to do it properly (he likes doing that, you know...)

Once you've become a respected member by title as well you'll be able to flag posts yourself. In the meantime, feel free to PM any moderator or admin telling them about the spam post.

Hope this helps.

The Help button next to 'Dictionary' offers some advice on how to get those snazzy titles :) Basically, you can include whatever text you like, somewhat like this:

[DELETETHISurl=http://www.domain.com]SNAZZY LINK TEXT[/url]

And naturally in that link you'd have to delete the bit that says 'DELETETHIS' :)

By the way, looks like another moderator beat me to deleting it :)

Hi, is there perhaps a list of moderators and their 'domains' somewhere? For future reference

Good question... yes, there is, but it's hidden. I'll post one in the Systems forum and sticky it to the top. Should be useful :)

Cheers,

Sam

Phil,

Now I know that you didn't know how to do it! Didn't you read page 9 in the moderator's guidebook?

Okay, here it is. Let's say you want to put a link to the words "snazzy titles" in your first sentence above.

1. Copy the address you want to link.
2. Highlight/Select the words you want to put the link.
3. Click on the Url button. A popup dialog box that says "Enter the Url:" will appear.
4. Paste the link in the space provided and click "OK".

A piece of cake.

This method also applies to other buttons like Bold, Italics, Underline, and Quote. Just highlight the words and click on the function you want it performed on the words. ;)

My dog ate it!!!!! And it's not called the Moderator Handbook, it's called 'The big book of brushes and sponges' written by Jan Itor!!!
