Can anyone recommend qood quality travel clothing? Ideally lightweight and well thought out design re pockets, washability, flexibility, etc. I've looked at Rohan and Royal Robbins but nothing really gripped me and most seem a bit staid.

Craghoppers do some very good bits of kit. I'm going to buy most of my kit for my RTW trip from them.

YOur best bet is to head to and outdoor sports shop....;)

your best bet is not to buy anything like this, I did and they didnt last very long! You'd be better off getting cheap stuff, and replacing them when they get too tatty or holey.

Ex Officio has an excellent assortment of lightweight clothes, with lots of pockets and air vents. They dry quickly and are super easy to take care of on the road.

Go with Icebraker clothing! 100% Merino Wool. You will have a hard time making this clothing stinky even if you don't wash it for a month.

I second going with ExOfficio. I especially like their Explorer pants.

A good place to look for stuff is TK Maxx in the UK where they sell lots of perfectly good last season Craghoppers, Peter Storm and Berghaus gear at cheap, cheap prices.
