My name is Lis and I'm from Melbourne. In October and November this year I am travelling with my boyfriend. Currently we are planning to stay with relatives in Albany, New York for a few weeks, spend up to a week in Barcelona and then another few weeks in Thailand, hopefully including a border cross to see Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
If anyone has any tips about budgets or what to see or where to stay it would be appreciated
Barcelona- don't miss the Guggenheim museum (Gaudi)
Thailand check out the Islands and do a trek in the north (Chiang mi)
Thailand can be expensive for drink and food but the accom is quite good, cheapest I found was a dorm bed for $2.
Have an excellent trip and look forward to hearing from you around travellerspoint
I've just replied to your topic in the folder about travelling in Europe, but anyway I wanted to say hi!
I am a newbie here as well, and this seems a nice place
mim, the Guggenheim museum is in Bilbao and has nothing to do with Gaudi
But yeah, if you visit Barcelona do not forget visiting EVERY single place that is related to Gaudi (park Guell for instance is one of my favourite places to visit).
Oh my god!
you know thats my mums fault not mine!
what an idiot that'll stop me from passing on second hand information
Don't worry mim, we all make that kind of mistakes
Hey, that was 2 suggestions in one: Guggenheim + Gaudi
You are so right when I said Guggenheim I meant Gehry cos he designed the building as he did the one I think in America and Gaudi, yeah Barcelona that bit was o.k.
talk about a muddle
Just trying to defend my honour for good tips!
attack of the mim my bloody computer is so annoying!!!
Cheers anyway alcuma!
you are a keyboard psycho
Blame the tool not the operator darling!
Nice quote there mim
