akuma has indicated that this thread is about Spain

Hello everybody!
I was looking for a summer job ANYWHERE when I found this website.
Not much to do, but who minds? God bless Google LOL

I am a Spanish 24 years old girl named Laura.
I am universitary student -I am studing Maths btw- and I would love to travel but I do not have money to do so :(
Ah! The sad life of the student ;) :D
That's why I thought I could look for a job anywhere outside my country, so I can at least make a little trip.

Well, I did not suceed, but I do not give up!
If you know about any job anywhere, send me a message please ;)

Nice to meet you all!!

Best regards,
Laura.

Hey Laura,

Welcome to tp. Not having any money and wanting to travel, looks like you will fit right in!

Can't help with any specific job just now sorry, but if i come across anything i let you know. In the meantime, good luck with your search.

You could try looking for an au pair job for the summer in a an English speaking country. They would probably want you to speak to their children in Spanish. It may be a little bit late in the year to find one for this summer but it is worth a try. I'm going to be an au pair in Spain this summer (teaching their kids English) because I am also a poor college student and although I won't get paid much this is the only way I would be able to travel during the summer. Just type in au pair in your Google or whatever search and you should be able to come up with some sites. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for your warm welcome!

I've been reading some posts, and people in this forum seems so nice.รง
I think I'll enjoy my stay here :)

leahrb, I am trying finding a job as au pair and also working in hotels, bars or similar jobs.
I think those are the only ones where I can find a job, considering my holidays.

Laura-
It seems that you should be able to find a job in Florida, especially with all of the tourism... if you look in South Florida (i.e. Miami), a lot of people speak Spanish- although I'm not sure if you really care either way, since you speak English. Something that you may or may not find interesting would be to work for Disney doing an internship. They provide housing and a job in one of the Disney parks. A lot of foreign students come to do internships and work in the World Showcase at Epcot Center. As of now, they do not have a Spain pavillion, however they are thinking about adding one.

Thank you for replying :)

As you already guessed, travelling out of Europe is a problem ($$ problem) for me v_v

I found some jobs as au pair and working in a hotel in the USA, but I would spend more money in the plane than I would earn working all the summer
That's why I cannot afford travelling that far away from here.
