Hey Folks,
I'm only back from my first backpacking experience which was just amazing. I travelled Europe for two months with my Aussie mate and had a blast. Thinking of travelling Egypt, Turkey, Greece, India in the next year so any advice would be brill.

Hey there,

Welcome to this page. Some tips for Turkey and Greece. Turkey is really a great country, friendly people, sun, culture, beautyfull nature etc. One problem, it is steamy hot during summertime, and I do mean steamy. Don't go then 'cause with 50 degrees celsius, the only thing on your mind will be a pool. The rest of the year the weather is lovely (exept for the winter, cause they have some extreme snowfall then...pointless info anyway). The Turkey hotspots are, according to me, Istanbull (fattest city on the globe, and I've seen a lot), the area of Dalian (in the west). Be sure to visit Paumukele (a natural hot-water spring with water that contains that much iron that it has painted a whole mountain snow-white) and Efese (one of the most intact left-overs from the Acient ages, it makes Pompei look like disneyland). In Greece I would sugest some serious Island hopping Most Greek islands really have a great back-packing aditude, lot's of trekking people there. Lovely admosphere, cool people everywhere. Try to get in touch with some locals before you go, they can advice you on the best parties organised there, useally happening in cool spots like deserted castels and caves. Anyway, have fun...
