Have someone that aksed me a question and wondering if any of you could help
We are planning to move the family (2 +3 kiddies) to Oz, Melbourne next September but would like to know more about the rates of pay my hubbie could expect as a shuttering/formwork carpenter. Cannot seem to find the info on the net..perhaps someone has first hand experience?
Any assistance greatly appreciated!
I'm a carpenter myself in Sydney where the pay is sometimes a little higher but not much.If your qualified with a few years experience you should be able to get $35 an hour no worries.
A lot of formwork firms will want you to get your formwork ticket.
You will also have to get an O.H@S card....similar to Ireland.
You most probably will have to set yourself up with your own A.B.N ,company name and registar for G.S.T.
All that stuffs only takes a few days and formwork chippies are always in high demand so
NO Worries Mate.
My husband id a formwork carpenter and has about 17 years experience! What are the general hours/days he would work in a week and where does he go to get his formwork ticket?
All info greatly appreciated!
