I posted this as a reply in another thread but I thought I should start a new one because I also have a new question . . .

I will be arriving in Paris (Gare du Nord Station) via Eurostar next week and will need to get to the Holiday Inn in Fontenay sous Bois. According to a website -- it should take 16 minutes to get there.

The directions tell me to go to Magenta RER (5 minutes away?) and then take RER toward Tournan to Val de Fontenay.

Will this really be as simple as it sounds. We will have our luggage with us. Also, I couldn't figure out the cost. Does anyone know how much this trip will cost us?

Lastly, we will be flying from Paris to Venice. We fly out of Paris Beauvais. I found a website that says there is a Shuttle Bus: between Paris-Porte Maillot (Metro and RER stop Porte Maillot) and Beauvais Airport. Buses leave from Paris 3 hours before each departure and from Beauvais Airport 20 minutes after each arrival. Buses depart from the car park on Boulevard Pershing, near the Concorde Hotel. The cost for a one-way ticket is 13 euros.

Has anyone ever done this? What was it like?

Lastly, I will arrive in Venice at Treviso Venice (TSF) Airport via Ryanair at night and will need to get to the Holiday Inn in Quarto D'Altino, Italy. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the most economical way to get there? Also, how far is it from the center of things? How should we get around while we are there?

Thanks for your help.

Already posted on the other thread, but have some follow ups.

The RER station is very close to the hotel - you should come out and be very close.

It could be difficult to do this depending on how much luggage you have. There are a few steps and turnstiles you might need to navigate, so if you have a lot of luggage, it could be hard. If you just have one piece that you can carry up and down stairs and a shoulder bag or a backpack, you'll be okay.

To do this, you'll be travelling from zone 1 to zone 3. According to the SNCF site (SNCF) the cost should be 2 euros 05 for a one-way ride. You can buy a day pass if you want to travel into Paris, buy a day pass (Mobilis) for zones 1 to 3 for a cost of 5 euros 40.
