Hey,

I was going to buy my RTW travel insurance through World Nomads but now they dont have the option for UK residents on their site????

Any ideas why?

They seem like they have some of the best packages

Cheers

Neil

I was in the same boat as you. I contacted them and the reply i got was

Thanks for your email.

We regret to advise that at this point in time we are unable to offer coverage to residents of the UK. We will however be releasing a new policy in the next couple of weeks for our UK customer, so please check back with us regularly to see if this has changed.

Kind regards
World Nomads

Cos my trip starts on Monday I decided to go with Downunder insurance (for the first year at least), they cover people on one way flights, but I have no idea how good they are, and hopefully I won't find out :)

Enjoy your trip

Hey, thanks for the info! I'll wait it out then and see what happens. I'm not off until July 11th so I've got time to wait.

Thank you!

Thanks for the info guys! I was about to ask the same question. I'm not going til August so I will wait aswell as they seem to be the only place where you can extend your insurance which is handy as I don't know how long I will travel for.
Enjoy your travels!

Still no new policy
So I went for insureandgo instead. For the record, they're really friendly people on the phone! Forget using the internet and just get a personal quote over the phone! This saved me some cash!
What I didn't realise was that a normal Worldwide policy (not including USA+Canada) WILL cover you in those countries for up to 15% of the policy duration

They're worth checking out, and don't forget they also insure extra valuable items for an additonal premium

Hi all,
I just thought we'd let you know that World Nomads has now re-launched in the UK with a product that is probably better than the one we had before.

It doesn't seem that much better, and correct me if I'm wrong, but is it now unerwrtitten by a different (less major) company?
