I'm planning a trip down under in january 2007 and I'll probably head down there on my own. Since I have'nt been away by my own before I would love some feedback from those whom been there by them selves and how that was!?
I'll be there for three months and want to dive, learn to surf an just experience what Oz has to offer! I'm a positive and happy 22-year old girl from Stockholm, Sweden.
It was very easy.
Easy to find accommodation
Easy to get around
Easy to spend your money!
Best accommodation is the YHA (in my opinion)
If your looking for inspiration and support this web site is full of it.....there's loads of us on here feeling exactly the same nerves and worries about travelling alone for the first time....i'm off to oz in september for 3 months and just reading some of the other threads has really put me at ease about travelling alone and meeting people.....just look back over the past few months threads and it'll make you realise just how many people are in the same boat and there's loads of people with loads of experience that can answer all your questions on here.
you'll have a great time and the more you start talking to people on here about your trip it won't come soon enough...i promise you.
Anyway....your 22 and swedish....you'll make freinds.....lol
yha is usally thhe most expensive their are plenty of other hostels that wont make ur wallet hurt
No thats true, but you can also pick up a good dose of bed bugs the cheap route too.
