Be sure to keep the Excel files open so you can toggle over if your boss walks past.

They are always open, and of course, you need to have about 8 of them open just so that the little windows on the bottom are too small to show the website you've go open!

Ah, I remember the day when I was working with Nikki. Sitting back to back to each other and chatting away through email. She taught me all I know... What happened to the Sith Lady? She's gone over to the dark side...

Raaarrgh.

When I am a nurse or a midwife (still waiting to hear from university re places but anyway) I will be too busy on my feet looking after people in an understaffed ward to faff on internet forums. May as well get me posts in now.

This is the only good thing about office work. Apart from all the tea and biccies.

I've just got reports i was suppose to finish open, along with a few spreadsheets for that "fuck off i'm busy" look.
Just as well firefox has tabs otherwise i'd be chaceing windows all over the place

You get tea and biccies?

My boss helps himself to my coffee.

And I've got a letter that I was typing open, and a couple of official looking appendices with a bunch of rubbish that no one could possibly understand.

yeah that's another thing, bury all the latest info under a pile of papers, never walk around the office without one.
Never answer your phone, and ring them back at lunchtime or leaving time.

What bikkies do you get, we only get the tea and coffee

get down on your knees and beg forgiveness, i have not gone to the dark side willingly, i was dragged kicking and screaming, i have now crawled my way back up and have spent a long lunch breaking down communication barriers and building a vision of direction, well thats the boss thinks anyway, in reality was listening to music and eating pizza while swapping sex stories.

email was always a good one to the person beside you, when the other dosser was sitting there beside me we used to get caught on the phones to each other, once we forgot to quote invoice numbers so got caught

also even if you're going to the canteen always look like you're in a rush, you never have time to talk, you're trying to beat a deadline etc....

We get tea, but there's often someone bringing biscuits to share.

If you temp for Office Angels you get a free lunch on Fridays.
