Hi everyone

On the 31st of August me and my boyfriend are off to new york which is the first place we stay on our around the world trip.
From there we fly to Fiji for two weeks followed by the Cook Islands for two weeks and then on to NZ and Ozwhere we hope to be for about 6 months, being 3 months in each.
On the way home we will have about 4 days in Singapore and then a few days in Hong Kong. I have been quite ill for the last 2 years and have recently began to feel brighter, the dodctor has told me she thinks i have M.E but and hopefully recovering and feel that i have definately been through the worse, although i still have reactions to things and only eat whole foods now as the chemicals in foods seems to make me feel awful, the same thing happens with alcohol and i no longer touch it. I steer clear of sugar as well, and if i am around cigarette smoke i feel really awful, nauseas and violent headaches. Now my worry is that the vaccination that i need if any are going to trigger a reaction and make me feel ill again and this is the last thing i want to happen before i go away, i have been so looking forward to the trip. I just wanted peoples advice and if its risky the places i am going to not have any vaccinations. I dont intend to be doing any jungle trekking and will be staying in hopefully decent hostels. I have had all my childhood vaccines, sorry for the long post its just i am worrying about not having them but also about having them!

manys thanks Gemma

Have you discussed this with your doctor? He would be the best one to tell you what possible side effects are likely with your medical history. Then you will have to weigh the risks and decide for yourself. Good luck too you, and I hope your health only improves! :)
