I'm travelling to Paris on Saturday. I was meant to be seeing the rolling stones at the stade de france, but it has been cancelled because Mr. Keith Richards fell out of a tree! I'm left with a pair of eurostar tickets.
I arrive at 3:20pm Saturday afternoon, and depart 8:10am Sunday morning. I don't want to book any accomodation, and am happy to do an allnighter.
So, my question is this. How can I best spend my very limited time? We basically want to see as much as we can (I guess the usual tourist places).
I've heard the catacombes close at 4pm, so I'm thinking of heading straight there. I also think Sacre Cour may be the place to spend the night/watch the sun rise.
Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
I dont think you will have time to make it for the catacombes anyway here is the website
You can take a walk from the eiffel tower (tube station Bir hakem) following the river Seine you will finish your walk at Notre Dame de Paris. On the right it´s the latin quarter with saint Michel and on the left it´s the Louvre.
From the Louvre you can go to Sacre coeur (church and painters)(tube station Blanche).
To spend the nnight there are 2 options:
_ first one going in a dicotheque on the boulevard down from the sacre coeur next to the Moulin rouge you have La Locomotive ( about 4 rooms with diff music it´s massive) fee entrance nearly 20 euros.
- second option go to the Champs Elysees next to the Virgin Megastore there is a really nice bar called Chesterfield cafe (124 rue de la Boetie). I know it´s closed quite late. It´s an american bar with live music.
Enjoy your time in Paris
Keep in mind that if you go inside the eifell tower, you could spend more than an hour in line.
