NNicolaou has indicated that this thread is about Spain

Me and my wife are spending 6 days in Cordova, Granada, Seville. Travelling from madrid which is the best way do u think to reach these 3 regions.
Also please recommend any good hostels to stay.

Hello Nikos,

The three cities you mention are in the same region called Andalucia, although it covers most of the south of Spain, and is quite a big one.

Anyway, the mean of transports to choose depends a bit on your budget. There is the AVE (high speed train) that connects Madrid with Córdoba in 1h40m for 52€. You have another cheaper option which is the talgo train (2 hours) that costs around 38€ (all prices for tourist class).

You can also take the bus, but it takes longer, and it is not as comfortable as the train.

My recommendation is to take a day trip to Cordoba; leave Madrid early to enjoy a full day in Cordoba and leave late in the afternoon to overnight in Sevilla (Córdoba to Sevilla 45 min on High Speed 18€). Wake up in Seville and enjoy a couple of days there (at least) and then head to Granada to finalise the trip there (regional trains only do the journey --> 3 hours. 20€).

Check (also in English) to get timetables suiting your itinerary.

I would really go for the train. I may be a bit more expensive, but it saves you time, gives you tranquility and safety.

Hope it helps!!!! You will love the places, although bring summer cloths!!!! It will be really warm down there!!!!

Hi again!!!!

If you want to go to Toledo you can base yourself in Madrid better than trying doing Toledo and then Cordoba. That's my opinion.

Two major bus companies in Spain:

I think you got another bus company info from Steff in another travel request you made some days ago. I can't tell you about the buses, because I don't recommend them, and have never done the journey.

And by the way...

If you want to purchase tickets for all bus journeys through Spain you can do it on this website:

Buses are ok (from my point of view) only they take longer, and if you dont have much time you probably are better off with the train!

There is a little exception though, if you finally decide to start your journey in Granada, the bus company travelling from Madrid-Granada ( it very good, and the journey is shorter than the train one (high speed trains still not available there)! It is also cheaper!

I hope you enjoy your trip to Andalucia, it is a beautiful area. Im originally from Granada, so if you want any tips about places to go, let me know (i dont know much about accommodation though, as I never need it! Sorry!)

Take Care
