As I'm in Cambodia, and can't seem to find a travellersguide to India here I try my questions here.
1)I want to fly in but take a train out - is that a problem with immigration, and how could I get around the problem
2)Can I get the visa when there or do I have to get it beforehand?
3)Can I take out cash with my viscard there (Puna mainly)?
Thanks

Laila,
If you are in PP, get over to the Capitol GH & Restaurant and start asking the backpack set if anyone has a guidebook on India. Failing that, try the FFC on the river. They may have a copy. Not far from the FFC is The Walkabout GH & Bar, corner of 174 & 51. They had a pile of books when I was last there, many travel books.

India does not have 'visa on arrival' just yet. They are getting ready to offer it, but not in time to help you. I would get over to the Indian Embassy soonest and ask about flying into India and leaving via land. Good Luck.

At first, you need to get Indian Visa in advance before arrival.
You cannot get visa on arrival.

Some times they ask for your ticket for next destination(after India)..so be ready with answers and with proof.

You can leave INDIA by train to Pakistan and no wherelse i think.

You can get cash from your visa card from any city...not a problem atall.
