I will be in Buenos Aires in mid June and am trying to figure out ways to get to Macchu Picchu:
1) To what city in Peru should I fly into?
2) Any online sources to get tickets?
Thanks and safe travels.

If you must, fly to Lima, then on to Cuzco either by bus or plane. As far as I know, Cuzco airport is only serviced by domestic airlines, so you won't be able to fly directly from Argentina.
But why not take more time (3 weeks or so) and travel north overland? You miss out on Bolivia this way, not to mention the environmental burden of flying. MP will still be there some other time if you can't spare the time at the moment, you know :-)
Thanks a lot. I have extended my trip a bit and will try to do la paz-titicaca-puno-cuzco trip overland.
Thanks for good advice.
Yes, I think you should follow the Dutchman's advice. Bolivia was a REAL pleasant surprise for me. I didnt expect to have such a great time there and there was alot to see.
You can fly Aerosur from Buenos Aires to La Paz... From La Paz you take a 3.5 hr bus ride to Copacabana... spend the night there and see the Lake.
Then you take a bus from there to Puno. Puno, you can see the Peruvian side of the lake.
From there.. take an overnight bus to CUsco.. Takes like 8 hrs.. but the buses are quite pleasant.
When you get to Cusco.. stay @ the Loki Hostel. Also, get your free drinks @ Plaza De Armas when you are there..
