Hi, just need a bit of advice on tents, thinking I want a one man tent, but i need enough room to get my 70L bag etc in, so would it be best to go for a two man? also what brands are the best, any helpful comments would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks Kye

Any other tents I found were 3-4 kgs instead of 3 pounds...

I've stayed in a two-man tent and in a three-man tent, at both times with a second person. I also had on occasion a two-man tent to myself. Wouldn't dream of taking a one-man-tent, especially with a big backpack and if there was a chance I had to stay indoors for some reason or the other. Maybe if the weight difference was really that big (2kgs+) and I had to carry it all the time, than I might reconsider.

One man tents are REALLY for the gram-hunters...If you value a tiny bit of comfort and your big bag near you: take a double-person tent.
I use my The North Face Treefrog 24 as a single person tent. It weighs about 2,8 kg and is easy to put up, strong and comfortable.
