Hi, I will be staying in France from Aug-Dec 2006 (4 months). I would like to know more information about the best sort of train pass for me: I won't be travelling all over Europe, just within France, Spain, and Germany. Should I get the carte 12-25 or Europass or Eurail pass or....?? There are SO many options and I would really like to have some advice on which one would best suit my needs. Thanks so much for your time!
If you take up residency in France, you'll be able to get Interrail and EuroDomino once you are there. You can only buy Eurail while you live outside the EU.
Try to figure out how much travelling you'll be doing while you are in France. Are you going to commute? How much is it going to cost you with carte 12-25 and how much without? That will decide whether you'll need it.
Best submit your travel plans in more detail (how long do you plan to travel in Germany, how long in Spain, the general direction you will be going...).
I don t know their offers
you can check on www.voyages-sncf.com
when you travel, if you buy tickets in advance , in France you can have tickets 'prem's' which cost 20€
In Italy , train is really cheap ,
it depends if you plan to move a lot or not
