If you want to escape the touristy spots, it may be worthwile visiting the Zaanstreek and Waterland, two regions immediately north of Amsterdam. You're on the spot within twenty minutes by bus or train from Amsterdam Central Station. There is the Zaanse Schans in Zaandijk, a model village with houses in the local architecture. The former island of Marken is also very nice to strawl around and perhaps visit a cheese or clog factory. Right across the lake from Marken are the lovely villages of Volendam, Edam and Monnickendam. Another option would be to rent a boat and sail through the numerous narrow and shallow canals of Waterland.
All the locations I just mentioned are major tourist destinations in the capital area, but since the high season has not started yet, it won't be crowded at all. The forecast say the weather is going to be fine: sunny and 20-25 °C.
Have fun!

Zandvoort is a North Sea beach resort 24km west of Amsterdam and a 30 minute train trip from Central Station. Even if you don't like the beach go for the fresh air and cafes. You will likely meet more Dutch people here than tourists.
