Does anyone know how easy it is to change foreign currency in china? I have some hong kond dollars, that im finding really hard to get changed in Japan and wanted to know if it is likely to be easy to get them changed in China?

Changing money in mainland china is easy especially at airports.
I didn't have any difficulty atall(ofcourse i didn't change HK dollars).
While changing money inside the city's banks, they need your passport.

You can change it at the airport easily. In each Bank of China branch you could also change it. The rate is about HKD1.00=RMB1.028. If in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, spend HKD to buy is welcomed at the same value.
