It all happened here in Kenya . A lioness christened "kamuniak" adopted and protected a baby oryx five times. It happened in the samburu game reserve right here in Kenya.
Scientists were baffled at this rare carnivore adopting a herbivore. No one has ever explained how this lioness could end up adpoting and taking care of a potential prey.
Any doubting Thomasses out there?
Nah, it all makes sense to me. A lioness, an oryx or five....
Oryx... hmm what's that? The only Oryx I know of is in Oryx & Crake by Margrette Atwood (Spelling?). Great book.. don't remember a lion.
I don't get how it adopts the same thing five times... ?
I'll look it up I suppose.
I thought an Oryx was an indigestion pill.
Why would a lioness adopt a pill?
Easier to look after a Pill than a Cub
Yeah, but 5 of them?
They might be really difficult to swallow
well swallowing an antelope can't be easy either
I wouldn't know, but if you say so
I do, and they are quite tasteless to, which was a supprise
But did you swallow five of them? If not, maybe you should.
Only then will you know.
