I have been trying desperately to book a Macchu Picchu trek, tour, etc for the week of June 25 and united mice and qente are both full. I did find alltrekcusco.com who has a tour available.
Does anyone know anything about them? they are asking me to wire a $120 deposit to them 4 days prior by western union and this makes me nervous.
thanks for your help
hey, I don't know how you found that they have free spaces since their website says they are all booked up... what email did you use for them, and when did you mail them? their website seems pretty decent if thats a sign...
I filled out the reservation form on their website. It was for the Macchu Picchu by train tour.
I just want to see if somebody had used them before.
I haven't heard of them before, but there are many travel agencies in Cuzco, so that's not necessarily a bad sing. A good sign is that on their web site is posted their authorization to operate as a travel agency.
In regard to your booking, it is normal they ask you to wire them money, because they have to buy the train ticket in advance. And it is much safer than give them your credit card number. Just make sure they send you before you wire the money an Invoice detailing the services you are paying for and confirm their contact information. The best will be to call them to let them know that you are about to wire the money and make sure they have done your bookings.

it seems like only the macchu picchu by train trips are available for june.
has anybody taken one? how is it?
All Trek Cusco is good company: My trip to Cusco was without problems. The hotel was very advisable and teh Inca Trail to Machu picchu 04 days was an unforgettable experience, I had walked before in Nepal and Bolivia, undoubtedly it was very good; but this experience is something only, the carriers the guide, all very organized one. Thank you Edmundo I will recommend you with my study friends.
