Hi All,

Need some advice or re-assurance! Me and my friend are going travelling next june ( a little early i know but first timers and don't want to leave it to the last minute!) We start in Barcelona and then make our way to the US. When we get to the US we plan to visit New York, Miami, San Fran, La, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina and Brazil. We are planning to buy our ticket from Brazil back to London in advance but are planning to work our way through these places by booking cheap domestic flights / buses when we are out there. We will have $8000 to spend on travel, very cheap accomodation, food and nightlife between these 9 places and depending on our budget and experience may have to change our plans accordingly. So we will we be playing it by ear.

Is this do-able on this budget? or can anyone suggest an alternative way of doing this.

Thanks for your help

Attia

Well, 8000$, need to check how much that is in real money. The U.S is sorta like Spain when they had the peseta :)

Well, seriously, i think your Overdoing it with maybe 4000$. Seriously, you can get a Pretty good World Around trip with 10 or so stops (different countries) for far less then that, so if your not planning on wasting buckloads of money on junk its enough, WAY enough.

Dont worry about it.

Thanks for the tip

I might have a look to see whether we can get a Round trip ticket within the US.

Thanks again

Check out http://airtreks.com/ (there American). Very very good company.

Worth looking up. And combination with the weak dollar (i think its around 0.8€ now), you can probably get a good deal if your.. erh, not american :P
