Travel Forums Australia / New Zealand & The Pacific Help with a question about application for WHV

Hey guys, there is a question at the end of the application for the WHV, it says: I have no dependent children. Do I have to clik on yes or no, its a little confusing. I have none.

Thx Buby

no, you have no dependant children if you have no children. A dependent child is an unmarried child, younger than 19 who lives in your house and for whom you are the legal guardian - or your husband..wife..

I think the problem is that buby25 doesn't know which button to press to say he -doesn't- have kids, as the syntax of the question is confusing. I wouldn't know, can someone else help? It's be useful for me too!

- Peace, T.

So its like: "I don't have any dependent children" .....

YES this statement is correct I don't have any dependent children or YES I DO have dependent children

or NO I don't have any dependent children
or NO this statement is incorrect I DO have dependent children.

I can see why you're confused, bad syntax....Australians eh?;)

I would try clicking on one, and see if it brings up another question that might let you know what it means, you should be able to go back and change it.

I think it was: treat "yes" as "this statement is correct", but it's been a long time since I answered those questions. It should follow the same format as all the other questions though, so if "yes equals correct" holds for earlier questions, then it should hold for this one, the word "no" in the question notwithstanding.
