Yeah, it's called 'Good riddance to the old bag'-day. Men all over the country are trying to kill their wives with a sausage and it's the one day they can't be prosecuted for doing that.
Very old tradition, indeed.

Yes, and rumour has it that Tway enhances his assets by using cocktail sausages.
