If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?![]()
Heh,
My whole problem is I don't want to be any 1 place forever. If I could move anywhere though I would go to Malaysia for at least a few years, then to W. Europe, then maybe Central America, back to Alaska for a few years and after all of those I'd have to re-evaluate. ![]()
I think I would become one of those people who travelled with the season...
So far my approximate year would be July and August in Southern Alaska, December in Zambia, Africa, somewhere for downhill and cross-country skiing in January maybe somewhere like Chile would be nice because you can hit the beach and the slopes on the same day, but I'm not sure what time of year that would be...
Obviously I have some gaps but this would be a process that would take much time and traveling to perfect ![]()

I would have to do serious research before I answered that question. So many factors come into play, not just the weather, but political climate, recreation, employment, standard of living, language, the people who already live there, its natural beauty, food, culture, religion, etc. Ideally, I would travel to every country in the world, living in each for at least a month. Then I would narrow it down to my absolute favorites and revisit them. Then I would pick my favorite place and move there.
The obvious answers would be some of the cities I've visited, London (England), and New Orleans (Louisiana, USA) topping the list. I usually go where the architecture interests me, and those two cities have captivated my structurally-inclined heart. I've always been drawn to two other places: Ireland and Spain. I can't really explain it, but both really seem like they'd be interesting places to live. And one of the unlikely yet fun places to live... LAS VEGAS! Talk about fun! But I have to agree with most of the replies. I'd be changing my home seasonally. I can't permanently pry myself away from my beautiful hometown of Montreal, but I definitely would not mind spending my winters in a warmer climate. Australia also features on my short list of alternate places to live.
I think I'd be a wanderer, too ![]()
I love Montreal, so I'd like to have my home base here, but part of my heart is in Paris, so I'd love to spend a lot of time there. New York City is great, and I've always wanted to travel outside of Heathrow in London (ahhhhhhh the many layovers spent there....
). The Greek Islands would be so great in the summer, with their glistening aqua blue waters, and I absolutely need to go to Australia. I'd like to try Rio as well, oh and Switzerland is great! lol, by the looks of it, I'd be moving about three times a year!
I guess if I had to choose, I've fly between Montreal and Paris. Maybe get a house somewhere in Greece, so I can go there in Dec and Jan ![]()

Yeh - I have alot of this wonderful world to see at the moment so I wouldn't really know. I would say though, ideally somewhere with a Spanish flavour to it such as Chile or Argentina, maybe Spain but I would like somewhere not too touristy, less mainstream and with more locals as opposed to tourists. The same place would have a fairly good employment rate and not be too expensive to live in, would have a number of good places to eat and drink, be near the sea so I could do all my watersports and be sunny. It would also have lovely views nearby such as forests and rivers or lots of fields and have lovely walks and drives there. If I ever should find this dream place I'll be sure to let you all know ![]()
I guess I wouldn't mind living in Lisbon most of the time as I really love this city, but i'd like to be able to travel a lot and get to know what's going on in the rest of the world. Maybe one of these days, when i get to see some other places abroad, I change my mind, but for now I'm happy with the lovely and sunny Lisbon
Um bom dia para todos (a nice day for everyone) ![]()

Proudly different from the United States, Canada's major cities each reveal a unique culture mixing French, British, indigenous and immigrants' cultures.
