Hi

We are intending to be in India around September / October and intend to stay for around 4- 6 months. We would like to spend this time doing voluntary work with children and animals in a variety of places so that we can get to know the culture and spend enough time in an area to make a difference but also move to different places to see different parts of the country.
There seems to be different degrees of voluntary work, what we require is free board and lodgings in return for our work. We have good and varied skills including TEFL, previous teaching of English and I am a fully trained Animal Chiropractor, I am sure these will be of use to many organizations&.it's just finding them!! We would appreciate any help with suggestions of organizations or people we can contact.

Thanks

[ Edit: Sorry, no emails in the forum please. ]

Hi, I would suggest you browse the job site - naukri.com - through the link provided for positions available in NGO's. It would give you an idea as to the options. You could then write to them re your offer & I'm sure quite a few of them would be interested.

If you need options in Delhi, I could send you the details pertaining to a couple of NGO's that work in the areas of education and animal rights respectively.
