I would like to travel round Europe for 6 weeks in the middle of Oct. Im a 25 year old male from Scotland. Im easy going and always up for a laugh. Im looking to meet new people and to have a good time and sample some nightlife. I have no idea where to start and would love any advice you think may help.
Look forward to hearing from you
If you're still going to be 25 in October then an interrail pass is always a good idea, if your 26th birthday is before that though then it will be a lot more expensive and it might work out cheaper just paying for transport individually.

If you are going in October, consider going south. Andalucia in Spain, Portugal and Morocco would make a great 6-week trip. Same for Italy & Tunisia or Greece and Turkey.
Keep in mind that Interrail is not such a good deal if you travel for 6 weeks. Look into EuroDomino and the pass from Eurolines too.
you lucky so and so! 6 weeks on the road. you could try point to point rail as it is dramatically cheaper in Europe than in the UK. Your average price from edinburgh to London would probably get you from Paris to Barcelona and beyond!
hostels are where to start for travelling buddies and good ideas for places to visit. You can either head straight south to catch the last of the warmer weather before heading north. You would certainly be able to get round the whole thing in 6 weeks
As a suggestion you could look into the hop on hop off tours to get the best of both worlds, you get to meet fellow travellers, your accommodation is more or less guaranteed, the travel is taken care of, you get the services of the guide (walking tours etc) and you can stay on longer where you want and go off the beaten track. you could choose from either busabout.com(bus) or g'sbigadventures.com (train) Set trips with itineraries leave me cold. they take away the spontenaity of travelling.
