Hi Gary

Down under in November things are getting warmer. If you are tuned into the UK's cold you'll probably find it very tropical but then again - it isn't likely to be 30+ degrees everyday so maybe not!

If you have an ok budget clothes are fairly cheap. Its often a good idea to leave open some room in your bags to buy t-shirts etc while you are away - which then double as little souvenirs to remind you of your trip when you're home.

Its also not much fun to lug a lot of baggage around but if you are staying in hotels or friends homes you wont have to worry so much about your bags.

You can often find out about local weather through the areas tourism websites which should indicate the average temps and rainfall throughout the year somewhere on the site. This should be a good starting point for you.

Its worth working out what is likely to be available at your accommodation (ie hair dryers at hotels etc), what is cheap and disposable (ie cheap beach towels and t-shirts) that you can pick up and leave in the country if need be, and what you simply cannot live without (on a 'what if I lost my luggage' basis) and pack with this in mind. That way you are preserving space in your bags, takingthe essentials and leaving yourself room for all those good buys you are bound to find!

hope that helps!:)
