Hey,

I'm a 25 year old female from London. I am planning on doing a RTW trip in November. I originally was looking into going at the beginning of feb so i could have christmas and my birthday with family, but considering my route and the weather, going earlier made more sense. I am quite anxious at the thought of doing it alone as i am by far a loner and my parents are less that thrilled about the idea.Travelling is something i have always wanted to do and i know i would regret if i didn't take this perfect opportunity in my life to do it.

I have no ticket booked as yet although i have been to STA travel and they have quoted me £1350 including all airport taxes to do the route: LHR-Bangkok, work my way down SE Asia (2-3 months)-reach Singapore -Australia (4-5 months) - NZ (6 weeks)-Fiji (2-4 weeks)back to Autralia and then onto either North America or South Africa (undecided but moving towards America) This is by far set in stone, timings will probably change and i will be open to change and doing whatever feels right once i'm there!

Finding it hard to get started with all the planning, i know if i was doing it with someone else i would be so more up for it and enthusiastic! Its all so scary, and without it being booked its more of a pipe dream...think i need it to become reality!

It would be great to hear more about your plans.

Hopefully hear from you soon,

Tina

Hi
Im planning to travel for five or six weeks in southeast asia, starting in december/january. I have not booked any tickets yet so the time is not settled. If you're travelling in this area in around this time we can meet up. I am a single woman, 28 years old from norway. Send me a message if this sounds interesting..

I would like todo a RTW Back packing trip but unsure where to start. I mean where do you find the best inteneries, Or how to make them. I would to experience the culture and the sights as well as the people. If someone could lead me in the right direction or would like to plan a trip together it would be great.

If you speak to your local travel agent and let them know what you want to do and see then they should be able to point you in the right direction. The way i started was just to think where in the world i wanted to go and what I wanted to see, and have looked online and read books about each individual place to make sure i'm not missing out on anything that I'd really like to do, then I went to a travel agent and gave them my list of places. They will then tell you the best way to do and let you know what is and isnt possible. I've found a lot of great places to stay online and advice from sites like this is also useful.

If you're looking to travel after xmas then let us know which route you are planning to take, i'm sure there will be a few people heading in your direction at the same time that you can arrange to meet up with.
