I have a dilemna guys and girls and really not sure what to do.

Phil,
sorry to hear about the shoulder (good reason to not go skiing).
I'd either take the op in NZ or return to the UK if the insurance is paying (summer here remember). It's one of those injuries that won't go away and the longer you leave it the longer the recovery.

Thanks for the tip Jase.

Actually, it seems that I do not have much choice in the matter as the insurance company call the shots (other than some gentle persuasion for the doc to manipulate the costs of surgery here if I want to come back.)

They are still being vague about having it done privately, looks like they'd prefer Public Health care in both but then that's gonna take atleast a year waiting in which case they owe me anew RTW ticket, hee hee
